Cécile van Eeden
Cecile van Eeden was educated in jewellery design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 1980. Over the years she has exhibited in galleries and musea from San Fransisco to Taipei.
She has always strived to create jewellery accessible to a large group of people. This has led to the production of small series, mostly in silver. These objects have found their way to people through galleries, jewellery shops and even interior and design shops. This way of working has helped buildup her vast experience in designing and producing jewellery in precious metals.
With silver as a foundation, higher grade materials like yellow and rose gold were added for new creative challenges.
Since the year 2000 she is the proud owner of a gallery/ shop in the Eindhoven area, where her passion for design can be combined with presentation and the interaction with the customers of her jewellery.
The work of Cecile van Eeden is characterised by a clear design language. The designs are profoundly developed upon their visual qualities. Sizes, proportions, wearability, functionality and finishing are studied extensively.
The shapes are simple and pure and are thus executed with high precision. Only this combination leads to the subtle magic appearance associated with the jewellery of Cecile van Eeden.
